I’m heading off on a little summer adventure and though mine is slightly less St. Tropez and a bit more Maple Lake (Minnesota that is), I still feel the need to pack Pretty. A couple of necessities that are definitely on any packing list–flip flops and a swimsuit–are on mine too, but I must add a couple of things just for fun: jewelry, a new summer tote and a fab hat of course!

First on the list: footwear of the sandal variety. An amazing pair of flip flops will get you poolside to bbq and everywhere in between.

Perfect for a beachy casual getaway, these Reef Bonita flip flops are a step above your basic rubber flip flop and so comfortable I can personally vouch for that.

A slightly more decadent summer rendezvous on the agenda? Consider this sassy Stella McCartney pair:

On to the all important piece of spandex you’ll be rocking beachside.

You work hard all year long to wear a suit like this and we aren’t going to hold that against you one bit.

For those looking for a suit that offers a bit more secrecy and a little vintage flare, take a gander at this little beauty.

Time to accessorize. Believe it or not, I’m a big fan of packing light, so when I look for a piece of jewelry to travel with it needs to cover all the bases. It adds a touch of style to my basic tee and shorts and works equally as well with a cocktail dress for evenings out. Another key ingredient, it must be replaceable! The likelihood of losing this little gem is quite high, so find something under $100 that does the trick.

Madewell’s Jumbled Jewel Box necklace (that I must give credit to www.sageandstyle.com for directing me to) is the perfect piece.

Imagine it paired with this combo:

And then, bla blam…classy night out ladies:

Not to mention this dress will pack like a dream — cotton that’s sexy. Love that!

Happy packing and travels everyone!
