Lighten Up

After a long grueling day of work, when you want to turn off all the voices that you’ve had to listen to all day and throw on some sweats to impress no one, nothing quiets a room like the soft glow of a scented candle.  Here’s a little something pretty that you don’t need to fit into to soothe your soul: Voluspa candles.

Made from a blend of highly refined waxes gathered from all over the globe, the candles were designed to burn clean and deep, maximizing their soothing scents.  My favorite is Voluspa’s Japonica candle.

I love this candle for so many reasons, but the one that sticks out the most is the gorgeous tin!

It calls to me and says, “Relax, I’ve got this.”  It also says, “Don’t worry, I’ll still be pretty even when the candle is gone. I won’t leave you with a waxy glass votive holder with burntness around the edges. You also won’t have to worry about burning your hand as you angle your lighter in because of my sleek shallow design.”

I mean, come on! It’s $18 for 80 hours of that kind of hand holding. Every room needs one!

If you’re not the sweat pants kinda girl, perhaps you throw on something a little more fancy to impress no one, try the candles in the reflective glass holders.

Sexy, yes, pop, yes, we’re still moving in the right direction and you can get these in all the scents available in the tin, my favorite being the French Cade and Lavender (pictured below).

Please also try the Winesap Apple Spice or Japanese Plum Bloom scents!

Turn down the lights and put these candles to work!
