Alright Ladies, the verdict is in on the girdle…
After seeing Brooke Burke’s banging post-baby body on ‘Dancing With the Stars,’ I decided to give her concept of wearing a girdle a go. I bought Ironman’s Waist Trimmer, $8, back in March and wore it for a couple of weeks to test it out.

The only thing that changed was how much I sweat, which ironically made no difference on the scale.
But I was still intrigued by the whole girdle idea because of all the response I received from that story. It seems I wasn’t the only one blown away by how quickly Burke recovered after giving birth. A lot of you wrote in asking about Brooke Burke’s Baboosh Body wraps, so I thought I should give one a try. At $42.95, these wraps are quite a bit more pricier than than Ironman’s version.

After putting Burker’s Baboosh Body wrap to the test for a month, I’m going to have to rule against it. Maybe it works post-preggers, but for those of us just trying to lose those those last 5 to 10 lbs., the girdle isn’t the answer. I mean don’t get me wrong, there are some good things about like a constant reminder to keep your tummy in and your own personal sweat lodge.
As for visible results though, don’t get your hopes up. If you still feel like a girdle might be something you want to try, don’t waste our money on the pricier ones, go for the cheaper version or better yet, just go sit in the steam room after you work out.
Sorry Burke, but I’m putting the wraps on your girdle.
I am curious to see if post-preggers women have had more luck with it. If you have, drop me a line at LadyLex@ineedprettythings.com.
Yours Truly,
Lady Lex

I bought this wrap after seeing it on tv and hearing how great it was for post pregnancy. It was very pricy compared to the other one that I had purchased previously but I tought I would give it a try. It doesn’t work any better that the one I bought at a local chain for 1/3 of the price. It’s thinner but it still rolls up during vigorous excercise just like the cheaper version. Save your money!
