Remember how Martha Stewart went to jail because she had a friend who gave her a heads up on a stock tip. Well Sweetwrap.me, a new iPhone application, is that tipster friend, only it gives you the heads up on NYC sample sales and no one goes to jail for it.

It’s pretty easy. The sales are listed by dates. Some are going on right now and others are coming up in the future.

There are all kinds of designers for clothes and accessories. As of this review Agent Provocateur, Tim Hamilton, Bergdorf Goodman, Groupe, and Temperley London were just some of the labels.

They list the prices and savings on select items.  For instance Temperley London had these sales listed: a mustard jacket for $730 down from $1825, an Aimee dress $474 down from  $1185, and a stud waistcoat $314 down from $785.

All of the listings are mapped out with the address and phone number. Plus this app also counts down how much time is left before the sales are over.

The only downside of Sweetwrap.me is you obviously have to live in NYC or visit often to take advantage of the sample sales. I guess that’s what frequent flyer miles are for.
