Taking the Stand: She by Sheree
Let’s Review the Case:
She by Sheree is the clothing line of The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Sheree Whitfield. The world FINALLY got the chance to see her visions come to life on this season’s finale episode. Last season her fashions weren’t just tardy for the party, they NEVER made it on the runway because she didn’t finish the line!!!
It was also shown at NYC Fashion Week and locally in Atlanta. Before designing clothes, Sheree owned a clothing boutique in the ATL area. So she does seem to have SOME experience. But is it enough to wow the fashionistas on The Pretty Committee? Let the judging begin.

Exhibit B (What aired on the Bravo Network)

Exhibit C (What’s actually available on ShebySheree.com)

Okay Pretty Committee. Is She by Sheree a fashion reality? Or a bigger disaster than John and Kate plus 8?
Left-Tie: This line is hit and miss. Some items impress me. Exhibit A items 1, 3 and 6 make me think wow these could fly off the shelves at Sears, then I see Exhibit A item 2 and most of exhibit B and I’m not impressed. I really think the line can make her some much needed money. There is nothing new just some cute wearable safe pieces. I would have liked to see her website up and running. That kind of tells me she’s not on the ball
Kawaii Kid: I have to give it to anyone who follows their passion and actually makes something happen. HOWEVER– as far as fashion is concerned I haven’t seen anything that’s new or fashion forward here. The most exciting thing I saw was Sheena from ANTM working the runway– you go girl! I think She by Sheree definitely sums it all up with her website… she’s got nothing.
Trendspotter: I’m glad she cleaned up the line a little before she presented in NYC. There was noticeable improvement. BUT, I still don’t see anything new or modern in her pieces. I’ve seen this all before. And pic 6 in Exhibit A (the yellow halter) belongs on a plastic hanger at Wet Seal. Design 5 from the same exhibit is kind of cute, but we all know how The Pretty Committee feels about satin one piece rompers. (Pssst, they’re a no-no.!)
Jess: HA-HA-HA! Sadly, I have to admit I watched this episode last night and was NOT impressed. The clothes looked cheaply made and are nothing special. Sheree looked very good at her own fashion show, but it was the jewelry that made her outfit, not the clothes. To top it all off, she started going off about how she smashed all the “haters” and how her grandma always says something about “hater-aters.” …And that is truly when you lost me Sheree… the nail that sealed the coffin shut. She by Sheree will not be getting any profit from this member of The Pretty Committee!!
Daph: She by Sheree is a big No, No, NO. There is nothing even remotely good about this collection. Huge disappointment, especially because she seems like she such a immaculate perfectionist in the series. You’d expect the same from her collection. The collection is subpar and reminiscent of BeBe’s pre-teen line, you know the ones you used to wear in those awkward years. The pieces are trashy, unsophisticated and lacking imagination. The white jump suit is a total juicy knock-off, and the leather dress with the feathers is revolting.
Verdict: We’re not hating, but this line is just weak.
XOXO,

I struggled with this one because I couldn’t think of anything that wouldn’t be racist against my own race. I have spent a little time in Atlanta in the summer and was shocked by how many overgrown, chipped toenails I saw hanging over sandals. Most of these clothes remind me of that. They remind me of the type of people who try to look wealthier than they are, and as a result seem trashy to me. The type of people who would say, “This outfit cost more than your car.” And you might be thinking, “But my car is cute, whereas, that outfit….” I like the bottom middle dress on exhibit B. Now that you have the opinion that has been brewing in my head, I will go read the comments from the other Pretty Committee people.
One thing I would add is that she has the “hoopdy doopdy” earrings in many of these photos. Those earrings as an accessory make everything look even tackier! When I first looked at the collection, I thought it was made for hookers and the earrings just confirmed it!
