So you spent your summer sipping cocktails and indulging with friends. Social-ieting, I totally get it. But now, it’s fall and you’re looking for a clean start. Why wait for New Year’s? Cleanse yourself and your digestive track from the remains of your sinful summer with a juice cleanse.
I just tried one of Blueprint’s cleanses. What I liked most about it is there’s no thinking involved. All you have to do is pick the length and intensity of the cleanse, then sit back and wait.
They do all the measuring and mixing for you. All you have to do is drink away. Six drinks a day to be exact.

That’s right no solid food for two days. Scared? I was too, but it isn’t that bad. It’s easier than you think, I promise. Here’s some notes from my journal while I was doing the cleanse.
Since this was my first cleanse, I went with the 2 day foundation cleanse. It ended up being more like a 4 day cleanse because they recommend you start a raw vegan diet before you begin the juice fast.
Day 1
Put all my drinks in fridge and went over my emailed instructions again. Just had some room temperature water to warm my body up and I’m ready to try the first drink, which looks terrifying.
#1 (The green lemon drink): Doesn’t taste quite as bad as it looks, but it ain’t good. No pain, no gain, right? I couldn’t get myself to finish it all. YIKES! Off to Cardio Barre.
Back from Cardio Barre and I am starving! I would love something with sustenance, but I have to keep reminding myself, I’m detoxing, I’m detoxing…
#2 (Pineapple/apple/mint): This one is actually pretty good. If you just took out the mint, it would taste really good. It’s hard trying to down all of the juice because my stomach can only take so much, but I do it.
#3 (The green lemon drink): Disgusting once again, really hard for me to get down.
#4 (Water, lemon, cayenne, and agave): Refreshing and such a relief from the green stuff. Tastes good, reminds me of drinking lemonade on a warm summer day. I like this one. Not bad at all, but another green drink is next so I’m already mentally preparing myself for it. I’ve also been quite energetic throughout the day. Haven’t felt tired or sluggish at all. I feel really good, slim, not bloated and feel like I can think clearer. I like it!
It’s right before I drink #5 and I’m a little hungry but not too bad. I still feel good, energized and really healthy. Like I’m doing something really good for my body.
Drink #5 (The green lemon drink): Green drink was better this time around. A lot better this time. I drank it no problem so I’m not sure if I’m getting used to it or if drink #5 just tastes better.
Drink #6 (Water/raw cashews/cinnamon/vanilla bean): This one tastes really good. Perfect ending to a juice day because it’s a bit thicker and it tastes a bit like a shake. Good.
End of Day 1: I got through it! Wasn’t so bad, I’m looking forward to Day 2. I didn’t feel sluggish or anything. I felt really good. Didn’t have to make my 3:00 p.m. Starbucks run. Not gonna lie I miss normal food, but not as much as I thought I would.
Day 2:
The first two drinks (all the same from yesterday) didn’t taste bad at all. The third was so-so, but after that one, I felt like I was getting used to them, because they tasted really good from then on.
I feel really good and feel like I’ve been really energetic and focused. Feeling even better than yesterday. No food cravings or anythings. Now I kind of wish I tried one of the longer cleanses.
I feel great and all together have lost a total of 5lbs. Each drink has tasted better and better. I’ve actually enjoyed each one of them today. Yes, it’s been intense, but my body feels internally clean. I like it. Kind of scared about eating real food again.
My transition back to eating wasn’t bad. I started craving carbs about two days after the cleanse, but my cravings feel a lot more manageable now. I’d really like to try one of the longer cleanses.
Yours Truly,
Lady Lex
