Earlier this week, I shared a roundup of free 4th of July downloads from around the web, perfect for all of you hosting a 4th of July celebration this weekend.

Now I’m going to show you how to make a super cute and super easy S’mores gift basket for those of you attending a 4th of July celebration.

Materials:

2 Hershey’s Chocolate Bars

1 Box of Graham Crackers

1 Bag of Marshmallows

Cellophane Bags in 2 sizes and twist ties (I purchased mine at Michaels)

Small Basket

Patriotic Ribbon

Scissors

Exacto Knife

Scotch Tape

White Card Stock for Sparkler Template (Click here for the downloadable pdf from Twig & Thistle)

Basket Filler (I used brown crimped paper, but you could use tissue paper or even newspaper, which could also be used for kindling a fire too)

Step 1:  Print out sparkler template onto white card stock and trim out the shapes using scissors or a sharp blade. Make sure to trim off all the black edges. Then, thread the sparklers through the slots.

Sparklers

Step  2:  Remove marshmallows from their original packaging and put into smaller vase shaped cellophane bag. Secure with twist tie.  You could include multiple baggies of marshmallows in your basket if you like.

Step 3: Remove graham crackers from their original packaging and split in half along scored edges.  You can also leave full size if you prefer. In some cases, it’s hard to keep the graham crackers from breaking though. Place 4-5 crackers into a cellophane treat bags and secure with clear tape. I put two baggies of graham crackers in each of my kits.

Step 4: Put filler into your basket and then place chocolate, graham crackers, marshmallows, and sparklers into the basket. Tie ribbon around front handle of your basket and it’s good to go.
