We all know that a little comparison shopping, be it on foot or by mouse, can pay off in big ways. A few bucks here, free shipping there, and before you know it, you’ve saved $40. But as the number of shops in cyberspace grows, so does the amount of time it takes to shop around.

It’s really a catch-22 when you think about it.  More online stores = a more competitive marketplace = lower prices = happy shoppers, but isn’t the whole joy of online shopping the convenience of it?  If only my mamma hadn’t said “You’d better shop around.”

Don’t you wish you had someone who could keep tabs on all of it for you? Someone who could just let you know when your favorite designer was having a sale, or better yet when you favorite designer’s merchandise was going on sale (and in your size)? Isn’t it the worst when you get all excited to see something you’ve been eyeing finally go on sale only to find out all that’s left is a size 12?

All you have to do is fill out a brief profile indicating who your favorite designers are and what items you’re interested in (including sizes) and they’ll scour a sleuth of online stores for you and report back with a Salemail™– a daily or weekly email summarizing which new items go on sale in your size.

With over 1.5 million subscribers already, you’re probably asking yourself how on earth do they do this…and are they taking any other wishes at this time?

Well, I don’t know about the latter, but the company did give me an answer to the first question. Apparently, the Shop It To Me team has the ultimate in go-go-gadget technology, allowing them to search over 100 retailers picking out each of their member’s specific desires. Among some of the retailers they scan daily are: Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdales, Banana Republic, Zappos, Bluefly,Shopbop, and PiperLime.  Um, SCORE!
