Yes, I admit I’ve been wearing my boyfriend jeans way more often than allowed but with LOST ending (tear), Gossip Girl on hiatus (Hope Chuck’s alright), and now patiently waiting for Mad Men (I <3 DON DRAPER!)…I’ve been very uninspired!

After watching SATC2 though, I’m re-inspired! From strapless dresses to fantastic heels to some of the most beautiful accessories (men’s too), Patricia Field has gotten me excited for summer. Every outfit was a statement, but here are some of the ones that left me gushing.

LADY LEX’S No.1 Pick: The dress Carrie wears to meet Aidan for dinner. So sexy, would have any ex crawling back.

I also loved this oldie, but goodie (see below).  Carrie wore this dress seasons ago when she was having a “friendly” lunch with Big. Everyone knows you can’t be friends with your ex.

Lastly, this classic white dress is a summer staple that will look fabulous at any summer gathering.

Notable runner ups: The cute pink frock she was wearing during their afternoon lunch in the arabian desert and the dress she wore to fly to Abu Dhabi.

Charlotte:

I usually like Charlotte’s wardrobe, but in SATC2 I LOVED them. She had some really classic pieces like this one, it’s a definite jaw dropper. I love the cream color contrasted with the snakeskin skinny belt.

She also wore this beautiful black sequins dress during a very cheesy karaoke scene, it reminded me of a dress my original barbie (yes, original) used to wear. It was perfect for the girls night out.

I also loved the red frock Charlotte lunched in as well. That was a good fashion day for her.

Miranda:

I feel like her outfits are hit or miss for me. I remembering falling in love with that red Norma Kamali retro bathing suit she wore during Carrie’s Mexicomma. If that wasn’t love at first sight then I don’t know what is, but I must say I have fallen again with one of Miranda’s hits. I’m loving this all white look she donned to go shopping with Carrie. Perfect for staying cool on your exotic summer vacation.

I also loved what Miranda wore to Stanford’s wedding. This dress was very sexy for Miranda and I thought she looked awesome in it!

Samantha:

I’m one of Samantha’s biggest fans, but a lot of her outfit choices were a little too bold. Of course if anyone can rock them it’s her, except for maybe her 80’s outfit– horrific!

I love this show stopping dress that both Samantha and Miley Cyrus wear, but who wore it best? Samantha, of course! HANDS DOWN! Perfectly paired with that amazing bib necklace.

Samantha also struts this beautiful champagne colored gown, that has even gay men re-considering their sexuality.

This last outfit I thought was perfect for the arrival in Abu Dhabi. I love the gold harem pant paired with a safari chic jacket. Different variations of neutrals are always classy and safe for any vacation.

Another dress I loved of Samantha’s was this beautiful gold cocktail dress. She makes flying look so glamorous.

Yes we know the movie reviews are bad, but we’re not here for the plot, that’s what the series was for. We’re here for the outfits and the clever one liners. And with that in mind, the cast’s wardrobe definitely lived up to the hype.
