Time to put away your wool hats ladies. The sun is out, the birds are chirping and summer is just around the corner, which means time to start looking for ex-STRAW-dinary hats to help keep the sun off your skin. Remember an ounce of prevention is worth of a pound of cure.
I’ve noticed a lot of cute straw hats lately and wanted to share some of what I’ve found:
BDG’s Bander Straw Boater Hat from Urban Outfitters would look great with a cute romper for a casual lunch with friends.

I know. . . I know . . .black can get very hot during the summer. So check out Pins and Needles Straw Boater Hat, also from Urban Outfitters. Lighter in color and a perfect match for floral flowy summer dresses.

Needing more coverage? BCBG has some great floppy straw hats that will make anyone feel like a celebrity hiding from the paparazzi. Think Pretty Woman.
J. Crew also makes a cute natural straw colored one.

Forever 21 also has a great floppy hat for only $10– What a STEAL!

I also found a cute cowboy hat from Forever 21 that would perfect for summer music festivals.

And of course, the fedora! A great staple to add to any spring/summer wardrobe. I found these ones at bcbg.com

The Madhatter would be jealous if he saw what was in store for our heads this spring/summer.
Yours Truly,
Lady Lex

I like the fedoras and the big floppy ones, although I had one once and I returned it because I never actually wore it out of the house. But I loved the idea of it. Maybe I should try one again! Thanks for the great recs.
I like the floppy straw hats and the Needles Straw Boater hat. They are good for the beach and for boating. Other than that, I get too hot with hats because it causes you to sweat more on your head. They are good for sun protection and look great when wearing sun glasses.
I’m in love with the straw hats from Urban! I think I need one!! Thanks Lex!
