A Bold Lip

This post is all about encouraging you to take some classic standards, and bring them up a notch. Start with MAC Pro Longwear Lip Pencil in More To Love. It’s a non-feathering, lightweight pencil that stains the lips so when your Girl About Town Amplified Lip Cream finally comes off, you’re left with a lovely color of fuschia. I thought about suggesting a red lip, and a red lip will ALWAYS be in season, but I feel like the pink is more representative of taking this classic beauty go-to and making it all brand new and yours! This color combination is to die for!! In the cover photo for this post, her lips are super glossy. I’d recommend MAC Plushglass in Fullfilled over the top if you like this kind of shine. It will only enhance the color underneath, and it has a plumping effect as well.

Winged Liner

A fresh way to bring back a timeless, Audrey-esque look is to use a formula that is goof-proof and really long wearing. You just glide it on in the morning, or add it to a daytime look to get you promptly ready for evening! This Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner from Stila has to be my favorite to date. It has a felt-tip applicator, and a super rich black liquid. It comes in brown, green, blue and charcoal as well, and those would work lovely if you want to update the look, and/or keep the eye just a tiny bit less va-va-voom!

French Tip Nails

You can do nude nails or french manicures in countless ways, but what I really love to spruce it up is to add a metallic polish to either the entire nail, or just the tip! You can use one of the new super-glittery polishes, but in the spirit of keeping this on the more lady-like side, I’m going to suggest using a simple sparkle, or even just a frost in a bright silver or gold. Metallics are my favorite neutrals! Try this gold from Sally Hansen, and this silver from Sonia Kashuk. These drugstore brands haven’t let me down yet!
