Here’s a random factoid I picked up in this month’s issue of Real Simple Magazine: November is the best time to buy PJ’s. There’s really no explanation as to why, just says to “SHOP THE SALES AT: Department stores and specialty retailers like Garnet Hill, Victoria’s Secret, the Gap, and Land’s End, for 30 to 50 percent off.”
That was good enough reason for me to start pajama browsing, which led me to some new discoveries in sleepwear, of course hardly any of the ones I liked were on sale.
#1: Urban Outfitters recently released a new range of retro styled pajamas by Betsey Johnson! Not exactly the first name that pops into your head when you think sleepwear right? But once again, Betsey surprises us all with her feminine playfulness.

A quick trip to BetseyJohnson.com also revealed a number of items that aren’t necessarily marketed as PJ’s, but we’d wear them to bed.

#2: Victoria’s Secret Classic Plaid Flannel is back! I got a pair of these in middle school that I wore till they literally fell apart. I’ve been looking for the classic print to return for the past 3 winters to no avail, until now. Woo Hoo!

#2: New PJ lines. Either it’s been a long time since I’ve been in the market for PJ’s or the market’s grown tremendously in recent years. I discovered a whole sleuth of new labels while doing research for this post. Some standouts include:
Stellina. Brilliantly cut, these cotton PJ’s are both super comfy and sexy with long slouchy arms that push up easily and a flattering boot cut leg.

For novelty prints, The Cat’s Pajamas and Scanty won’t disappoint.

#3: Who said Onesies can’t be sexy? The Bunny Shop has onesies with trap doors, need I say more?

#4: Online is the way to go when shopping for jammies. A great place to browse and shop for the latest and greatest on the dream scene is sleepyheads.com. This site’s extensive inventory rivals Victoria’s Secret’s website.

Plus they frequently have great sales and if you go to retailmenot, there’s over 50 successful coupons for this site including free shipping, 15% of Cosabella items, free gift offers, and more.
Flannel Up!
Until next time,
