Custom Shade Lingerie and Flip-Flops

We custom blend our foundation so that it matches our complexion perfectly. We stick our arm in hundreds of pantyhose samples looking for just the right shade; we even turn away certain nail polishes because after a lifetime of living in our skin, we know what colors work and which wash us out.

Doesn’t it seem odd then that when it comes to bras and undies we just sort of accept the fact that we’re all clumped into one generic shade of nude? And let’s be honest, it’s a highly unrealistic flesh color usually reserved for your “functional” bras and your granny panties. You know, the ones that are meant for your eyes only.

Well, a new line of lingerie is trying to revolutionize the way we view nude. MySkins bras and panties come in 20 different shades of nude, so there’s a shade to match everyone.

According to the makers, the undergarments are designed to be invisible, almost as if you weren’t wearing any undergarments.  Take a look at these pics from the MySkins website.

And the custom nude trend doesn’t stop at bras and panties… The folks behind Scoop NYC and the label Trove have designed a new line of flip-flops called Tkees. The sandals, which come in 8 different shades of nude are meant to blend in, almost as if you’re barefoot.

The nude colored sandals are supposed to elongate your legs and I think we’re all in favor of that.  According to the Tkees website, the sandals will be coming soon!

I dare you to go bare.
