With so many designers coming out with their Spring shades early in January I decided I’d highlight a few of my favorites for early 2012. The first one just happens to be a set of highlighters–imagine that!!

MAC has created my these absolutely amazing Mineralize Skinfinish highlighting powders for their MAC, Naturally collection. Being part of the Mineralize collection makes them super soft, finely-milled, and these two have a gorgeous gradation of color, going from light to lightest.  It comes in the shades Blonde, and Redhead, but as a brunette, I have seen them go on EVERY skin color with every shade of hair just beautifully. There are a lot of highlighters out there, but these are definitely something special. Get them while you can–limited edition is the only downfall, although the company has re-launched these shades several times now. I have the Blonde pictured here, and the Redhead is just as beautiful. I am ordering both tonight.

The color combination that Bobbi Brown uses in her newest collection has been on my radar since this summer. It’s called Neons & Nudes! I absolutely love an understated face with a pop of bright color. The standouts from this group are looking like they are going to be the cheek and lip colors. Check out the Sheer Color Lip Gloss in Ultra Violet or Citrus for a break from your usual pinks and browns. The sheer texture of the gloss will make this jump to bright color a super easy one!

I had a chance to check out the new NARS collection for Spring, and I am in love with the overall look and feel. While the Bobbi Brown shades are more for people who like just a light wash of the bright colors, NARS spares no expense when it comes to pigment and color pay-off. If I could, I would go home with this entire collection, but the two things I’m going to pick up when they arrive at my local Sephora are the Soft Touch Shadow Pencil in Dark Rite (navy blue) and the limited edition Nail Polish in Diamond Life (metallic violet). They’ll be in any day now!
