The cool, damp air of autumn is permeating through the remnants of summer. It’s about this time that we start to feel that restless stir – to redecorate.
Unfortunately, many of us rent our living spaces and are not given permission to paint our walls. This leaves you with several options if you really want some color.
A. Discreetly save the original paint chip for later; color your walls, then frantically drape sheets over every corner of the house whenever you think the landlord might come by.
B. Start a riot outside the landlord’s house with fellow tenants.
Disclaimer: INTP does not endorse or condone riots of any kind, no matter the cause.
C. Get removable wall decals.
Gee, I think I’d opt for the wall decals.

Gingko wall decal from Scribble.
Indeed, ever since I learned about the existence of oversized stickers that you could apply to your walls and easily remove without any consequences, my world has been brighter with new possibilities. Even if I were to paint my walls, I’d shop around for a beautiful pattern or landscape to make my home a sweet home.

Branches by @my, sold at blik.
I’m impressed with how much the selection has grown in the past years. More and more talented artists seem to be contributing to the wall decal market.

Fernwood Mirrors by Fontana Studios, sold on blik.

Flowers by creativeadb, sold on Etsy.
Just looking at these are making me itch for an apartment makeover. What do you think? Are you feeling inspired?
With love,
Al
