Children of the 80’s, brace yourself, cause neon is making a comeback! (Gasp!) As far as I know, the eye-popping shades are being contained to finger and toenails, but who knows where it may lead.
First it was colored denim, then liquid leggings, and now neon colors. Maybe I should start looking for my old L.A. Gears?
All joking aside, shocking shades of pink, blue, yellow, purple, and even green (yes, neon green) are going to be all the rage in polish this summer. Here’s Essie’s latest collection of neons.

For a non-toxic alternative, try Zoya’s La-Di-Da collection, available for $6 at Zoya.com.

For those of us who swore off neon colors, socks like these, and side ponytails, there are some alternatives.

A bright shade of coral or peach is always flattering and won’t leave anyone in the office asking questions.

I like Nubar’s Corals Collection, which is also all non-toxic. While they’re not quite as bold and electrifying as neon pink or green, they still give you that fun summery feeling without having to relive the days of BodyGlove bike shorts (Gasp!) and friendship bracelets.
Until next time,
