I know antibacterial gels are all the rage right now because of the swine flu hysteria, but I just wanted to pass along these tips on hand washing I found on the Mayo Clinic’s website. The clinic suggests NOT using antibacterial products because they may “lead to the development of bacteria that are resistant to the product’s antimicrobial agents — making it harder to kill these germs in the future.” The clinic recommends using a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol instead.
