When it comes to make-up, I’m a total sucker for packaging. I just love all the pretty shapes and colors, throw in a clever name and I’m sold. While I’m working on cutting down my consumption of such products (unless they’re things I’ll actually use on a regular basis), I still get a thrill from just looking at them and keeping afresh on the latest and greatest. I also enjoy giving them as gifts because they’re the types of items people usually won’t buy for themselves.
First on the list, is this limited edition Chanel Lip Palette. It includes six shades all inspired by gyspy dresses? Whatever that means. Nonetheless, I love it. It retails for $60.
Next up, is the Lady Dior Charm Radiant Couture Touch-Up Palette for face and cheeks.
It’s shaped like a little Dior purse. How cute is that? It retails for $95.
Moving on to nail polishes, do you remember the nail polish you wore as a kid that smelled really good and you could peel it off after it dried?
Well, now there’s an adult version of the paint and peel polish, it’s called Sula and it’s made by Sula Beauty.
You can buy it online at beautybridge.com or on Amazon. It retails for $10.
The other nail polishes I’m lusting over are Chanel’s two new spring colors: Vendetta and Django.
Vendetta is already a huge hit, I haven’t seen a nail polish receive so much attention since dare I say, VAMP! Retails for $23 a bottle.
I’m a huge fan of Chanel’s Vendetta, I just wish Chanel made their nail polishes without formeldahyde and all those other nasty toxins. I just heard that OPI took formeldahyde out of some of their new nail colors, I wish Chanel would follow.
Until next time,

The Django reference is to the great roma (aka gypsy) guitarist Django Reinhardt, who is known for his intensely fast, often percussive style of playing. This is a really interesting person to name a nail polish after because playing like him would destroy a manicure.
