Trendspotter’s recent post on “Glamping” inspired Jess and I to go camping this weekend to celebrate Jess’ birthday. (Happy B-day Jess!) While we wish we had that amazing DWR tepee to sleep in, the $2,000 price tag is a little out of our budget.
As much as we would love to glamp, unfortunately, we’ll only be looking the part this weekend.
If you’re planning a trip into the wild this summer, here’s what you’ll need to look like a glamper:
1. Boardshorts are a must if you’re heading to a lake, river, or ocean. Just because you enjoy looking glamorous, doesn’t mean you’re not adventurous. Check out this fun pair for a feminine sporty look. Pair with a solid tank, flip-flops, wayfarer sunglasses and a bright hoodie if it’s chilly.

Volcom Boardshorts $34.95
2. Short Shorts for hiking. You’ll probably want something a little more breathable than your boardshorts. Linen is a great option because it makes anyone look glamorous.

Olive Linen Shorts $15.80
3. Something to wear for when you return back to camp. Sitting in your sweaty linen shorts is so NOT glamping. Change into something fun and camp-y, like a pair of denim shorts and some lumberjack plaid before you help get the campfire going.

Heritage 1981 Pinched Plaid Shirt $19.90

Vigoss Stretch Denim Boyfriend Shorts $26.90
4. Depending on where you are, the temperature may drop after the sun falls. Find out before you go and be sure to pack some comfy sweats to sleep in. I like these from PINK.

Boyfriend Pant $29.50
5. Since you may not be able to wash your hair, be prepared with a cute headband and some extra hair ties. If you’re prone to frizzing, a hat might be a good idea for the morning.

Jelly Headband $2.80

Lumberjack Plaid Cabbie Hat $6.80.
So go ahead and camp it up you glamper! Wish us luck this weekend, it’s my first time.
Yours truly,
Lady Lex
