I’m a little embarrassed to admit this, but I find the “Jersey Shore” incredibly entertaining. I’m actually looking forward to the premiere of Season 2 tonight.

In fact, the notion of hosting a Jersey Shore themed party did cross my mind. I think it’d be fun to celebrate such ridiculousness… think Heidi Klum and Seal’s white-trash theme wedding .
The best part about a Jersey Shore party would be getting to dress up like the characters on the show, it’d basically be a costume party.
What to Wear? Ask your guests to come dressed in their Guido/Guidette best.
Guys: If you can get your hands on anything Ed Hardy or Affliction, you’re pretty much good to go. If not, some boardshorts and a muscle tee/wife beater will do.

The most important thing is to load up on the hair gel and douse yourself in cologne right before walking out the door. If you’re going shirtless or plan to be ripping off your shirt like The Sitch, be sure and oil up.

Girls: Basically you want to flaunt as much skin as you can, the skimpier the better. I think this dress would be perfect.

As far as accessories go, think sparkly and gaudy and don’t forget the fake designer handbag.

The real fun comes with hair and make-up. First off, you gotta get yourself just the right shade of orange. Next, you’ll need to pile on the eyeliner, mascara, and bronzer and don’t forget a poof. Lucky for us, Snookie has a how-to video on youtube.
Next up decor and food.
For decor, hang a big Italian flag and some Scarface and Godfather posters. You could have your guests sit in beach chairs and scatter bobbleheads of the cast around.

Food is easy. Appetizers: Pickles in honor of Snookie and ham in honor of JWoWW.
For the main entrée: ravioli or chicken cutlets.
Whatever you do, don’t forget the Ron-Ron juice. I found the recipe on celebrations.com or make your own Snooki Punch. Hee Hee.

Hope this inspires some fun party ideas.
Until next time,
