I’m back from Greece! While the trip was a blast and I enjoyed every minute of it, it does feel good to be sleeping in my own bed again. : )

As promised, I brought back a few goodies to share with you.

The first gem I stumbled upon was a tiny little design studio in the heart of Athens called Greece is For Lovers. It’s in the Akropoli neighborhood, on the southern slope of the Acropolis and is the perfect for not-so-ordinary gifts and souvenirs.

Here were some of my favorites:

Inspired by old Greek fisherman, “The Hooker’s Delight” martini glass is the ultimate garnish. Your olive certainly won’t go anywhere.

Been burned by a lover? Get instant redemption with the “Rest In Peace” cedar-scented candle. Just follow the instructions and “fill in with the appropriate x-lover’s name and burn the blues away.”

The design team behind these fabulous pieces are three young Athenians whose satiric, yet playful take on their home country’s customs and clichés make for some truly memorable creations.

While in Athens, I had the pleasure of meeting with Christina Kotsilelou (pictured above), one of the three designers. I asked her what her favorite piece is and she picked up a wine bottle wearing a bikini. Yep, this genius little contraption allows your wine to stay cool in lycra while you work on your tan. Fill the little pouch with rocks or sand and set it free “Greek Style,” they say.

The best part is you don’t even have to leave the country to buy their work, it’s all available online at  Greeceislovers.com.

Until next time,
