Great Stocking Stuffers

Every year I find myself scrambling to find ‘a little something’ to give my girlfriends.  I guess these types of gifts would fall under the category of stocking stuffers, as they are generally smaller and less expensive, but I’m reluctant to use this label because it can often lead to Santa socks, odor eater balls, and yo-yo’s, none of which remotely fit my cause.

This is a market retailers completely ignore.  Think about it, there’s gift-guides for Him, for Her, for Mom, for Dad, even rufus, but what about gal pals, colleagues, and roommates?  Well, this post is for all you gals out there in need of some good stocking stuffer ideas.  I hope you find these tips helpful and feel free to leave comments or opinions.  Remember, your galpals adore you for being you, so don’t worry too much about the value of the gift, instead make it special and reflective of you, they’ll appreciate it much more.

For the purse:

I’m giving these “call me” cards to my girlfriends.  I bought them at bebe for $39.  I just love ‘em.

Safari print nail files from Forever 21, $1.50, you can’t beat that!

Harajuku Lovers Coffret Solids are little perfumes with attitude. : ) $60  I found them at Nordstrom.  Each set includes five fragrances, each with their own scent and style. The Harajuku Lovers collection is said to capture the lyrics and iconography from Gwen Stefani’s albums.

A tried and true favorite Lancôme Juicy Tubes, $18.

To avoid duplicating one she already has, try one of the new Holiday Juicy Tubes for $18.  Available anywhere that sells Lancôme or on the Lancôme website.

Between friends:

Glamour tweezers, from brightfungifts.com, $20.
A special set of tweezers for down there.  Perfect for those who get frequent bikini waxes.  Each set of glamour tweezers comes with a matching suction cup holder so you always know where there are and the tips don’t get dulled in a drawer. Brillant!

What’s sweeter than getting Juicy panties in a shape of a cupcake? Btw, you can actually bake a cupcake in the holder!Juicy Couture Logo Boyshorts with Cupcake Gift Box, $18.

Hanky Panky has some cute holiday packaging as well.  Hanky Panky Holiday Thong with Gift Box, $30.

For the traveler:

Retro Block I-pod speaker, from fredflare.com, $25.
The Retro Block I-pod speaker is perfect for those who travel a lot.  It runs off your iPod’s energy so no batteries needed. Plus it’s cute and looks like a lego.

Quilted Folding Jewelry Roll from Victoria’s Secret, $19.50.  Wouldn’t you pay $20 to avoid having your necklaces getting all knotted up? It’s so simple, why don’t I have one yet?

To keep warm and toasty:

Kate Spade “High-5″ mittens, $95.  So cute!

A box of Jacques Torres hot chocolate, available on the Jacques Torres website or in his stores for $18.
