Yes, laptops bags have come a long way since these days:

But most of what’s on the market is far from cute…

I’ve been looking for a cute laptop bag for at least a year. It was slim pickings until about a month ago when out of nowhere a bevy of options descended into the marketplace. It’s as if the gods of laptop bags finally heard my callings. Here are some of my favorites:
The new Virginia laptop case by Rebecca Minkoff.

Available at Rebecca Minkoff for $98.
Now here’s a novel way to carry your laptop– the BookBook, a hardback leather case designed for the MacBook Pro.

Available at TwelveSouth.com for $80.
For a laptop bag that doesn’t look like a laptop bag and still has room for other stuff, try the Lexington Tote.

Available at BrooklynIndustries.com for $40.
American Apparel also has a few cute and affordable options as well.

Quilted Polyester Laptop Bag, $38.

Vinyl Laptop Bag, $34.
To really make a statement, check out the Domenica by Theresa Kathyrn.

Available at TheresaKathryn.com for $350.
I’m also digging these retro-modern handmade bags by Portland designer Michelle Kline.

Available at snapcatalog.com, $96.

I really like the quilted polyester type the best because of its practical color and cushiony feel. If I had a MAC, I would opt for the hardback leather case because it is small enough to fit into another bag.
I am so with you on the dearth of lovely laptop cases…! Thanks for this post – some of these are sweet! I am always somewhat jealous of the pretty Mac cases, especially that leather book example! I have a 16 inch Toshiba and i’ve found it really hard to find professional looking laptop covers/bags…
What a lovely site! I have spent the last half hour clicking around and loving everything I’ve seen! Of course, the laptop bag that I am swooning for is the Theresa Kathryn bag – no doubt on the pricey side, but oh so lovely!
