Remember those grayish round rocks with purple crystals inside that fascinated you as a kid? Well, if you’ve got any lying around, you might want to consider turning it into a necklace.
Rocks, and I’m talking the rocks you studied in 4th grade geology, are going to be all the rage in jewelry this coming spring and summer.
So the next time someone says, “Did you see that rock she was wearing?,” don’t assume they’re referring to a 9kt. diamond ring. They could very well be talking about a very heavy necklace, like this one from Chanel’s Spring ‘09 show.

Of course, you don’t have to wear Chanel to sport this trend. I found these geodes (that’s the officially term) at Urban Outfitters for $9.99 a piece.

For a good conversation piece, try this cocktail ring from Anthropologie, $128.

This trend is totally calling to my inner geek. One designer who really rocks my world and this trend is Kimberly McDonald.

If these pieces have you lusting for more, check out her website, where I found this ring which I’m going gaga over.

What are you waiting for? Get your Rock On!
Until next time,
