As you’re probably aware from Trendspotter’s lastest post, I’m going to one of the ten official inaugural balls; the Youth Ball! Barack Obama will be making an appearance and speech there Jan. 20.

While everything he talked about during his campaign is somewhere on my mind, my chief concern right now is finding a gown. I’ve got several friends on the case, including some of my fellow INPT girls.

While I haven’t yet found the perfect dress for the ball, I did stumble upon a pretty cool new website, worthy of a post. It’s called www.dressregistry.com

The site allows you to “register” the gown you’re going to wear to a specific inaugural ball, so you don’t spot a twin.

You describe the color, length, designer, and any other distinguishing characteristics. You can even upload a photo.

The site also allows you to get a sense of what others will be wearing. So far, I’ve seen a lot of BCBG, Phoebe Couture, and Jessica McClintock (haven’t seen JM in awhile, but I guess it’s popular amongst the prom-age crowd).

Ok, enough about what everyone else will be wearing, I need to figure out what I’m going to wear!  Yikes!
