I don’t know about you, but I was happy to bring in the New Year.  I think most of us can agree that 2009 wasn’t the greatest year. So now that the naughts have come and gone, fitness has taken a new path. Here’s what to look forward to:

1. Everyone remembers “The Path to Pretty Legs”, the story about the shoe that helped you tone your muscles and burn more calories, has now evolved into a sandal and boot.  These have become so popular that even Fashion designer Anna Sui has actually designed a boot, Shakoha, that has all the same benefits.

2. Video games are no longer the culprit behind obesity. With games like “The Biggest Loser” and “The Wii Fit” you can get on track in the New Year right in your living room.  With personalized programs made just for you.

3. Fitorbit.com You’re paired with a trainer who then texts you every day with a workout routine and diet plan.  Have a question or having a diet meltdown, you have access to your trainer 24/7. Send them a text and they’ll help you through any fat day.

4. The Face Trainer has brought a new meaning to the phrase a head to toe workout. A mask that helps against wrinkles with resistance during your facial exercises.

5. Hydracoach Intelligent Water Bottle helps you achieve your daily hydration goals. You program your personal hydration needs and it helps you keep track of how much water you’re consuming through out the day.

I hope these gadgets help “tech” you into shape. Let me know what you think!
