A make-up artist once told me that if you’re running short on time, it’s better to skip applying color and focus on concealer and foundation.  He said the most important thing to looking put together is your skin. It doesn’t matter how fabulous your outfit is or how perfectly applied your eye make-up is, if your skin’s a wreck or you have huge bags under your eyes, it’s the first thing people notice.

From a personal standpoint, I have noticed that when my skin is glowing, I do have an extra little pep in my step.

For the last couple months, I’ve been trying out cleansers, exfoliants, and moisturizers like it was my job. Nothing seemed to really be standing out until I tried Dr. Brandt’s Laser A-Peel System.

I’ve been using it for about two weeks now and I already notice a difference in my skin’s texture. It looks much more radiant and even has a nice rosiness to it.

The kit comes with two bottles: the peeling solution, and a bottle of soothing solution. The instructions say to apply 4 pumps of the peeling solution to your face using a cotton swab. I did this the first couple times and then decided to just apply it with my fingertips because too much was getting absorbed on the cotton pad. I’ve been applying only minimal amounts of the soothing gel because it almost seems unnecessary, it’s a very gentle peel, only felt the slightest tingly feeling.

Since I’ve never had a professional peel done before, I can’t say whether this product is as good or as effective as a professional peel, but considering it only takes 5 minutes to apply, I can say it is the most effective product in my beauty arsenal.
